We are students.
We build things,
and then we run them.
An association of 11 students at 10 universities in 4 countries.
We are not a company and we are not incorporated. We make software and organisations that other students use, and we keep them working. Everything on this site already exists and runs today — there is nothing here that we are only planning to do.
International students
We run NYISA, an association in New York that publishes the public records international students need — visa policy, campus enrolment, which employers actually sponsor — in full, with every figure traceable to its source.
Software students actually use
We build Wheny, an app that holds your timetable and your university's deadlines, for any of 2,769 universities across 4 countries rather than just the large ones. We collect the course catalogues and academic calendars ourselves, one at a time.
Bringing students together
We are putting together a network of students across universities and countries — today 11 of us at 10 universities in 4 countries, and growing. Small rooms, people who are building something.
NYISA
An association in New York that publishes the public records international students actually need, in full rather than in summary.
nyisa.org →Most of what an international student needs to know is public, but it is scattered across federal registers, labour department filings and university pages. NYISA collects it and publishes it in one place, with every figure traceable to its source.
- 21,813employers who have sponsored H-1B visas, from 26 quarters of US Department of Labor filings
- 87New York campuses, with international enrolment from federal IPEDS data
- 71,296international students in New York City — who the association exists for
Founded August 2026. No chapters, no dues, no events yet. Figures checked against nyisa.org on 2026-09-16.
An app we built. In testing. Coming to the App Store.
Wheny
An iPhone app that holds your class timetable, your university's academic calendar and its deadlines — for any of 2,769 universities in the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada and Australia, not just the large ones.
Most college apps cover one university. Wheny starts by asking which of 2,769 universities you attend — across 4 countries — and works from there. Where a college publishes its course catalogue or academic calendar, the app reads it so you do not have to.
- 2,769universities you can choose from, in the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada and Australia
- 922,040course sections collected, across 475 universities
- 909universities whose academic calendar and deadlines are in the app
Read from the app's own data on 2026-09-18. Coverage grows as more colleges are collected.
Every figure here comes from the underlying data, not from an estimate.
We do not just describe it. Here it is.
Screens from the app as it is today. In testing, coming to the App Store.
2,769 universities a student can pick. This is how far we have got.
1,225 of 2,769 have something. Read from the app's own data file on 2026-09-18, not rounded.
Four cities. Most of the work happens in New York.
And 3 more in California, Connecticut and New Jersey.
Small rooms. People who are building something.
There is no application form. If you are a student who wants to build something with us, write to jhan@oneleaders.com.
